It's like 2:30pm and I've been listening to my my Teedra Moses station almost all day and other than the Teedra (don't sleep on Teedra...RED HOT!) stuff they've played most of the stuff has been cool but just kind of background music since I've heard it all before...until something catches my ear...so I pop open the Pandora window and to my surprise its Kenny Lattimore and Chante Moore ...wow! I mean, I like them OK and all but this track REALLY nice, nicer than I would expect from them.

Hot Stuff on Pandora Today
Artist: Shades
Album: Shades
Track: What Would You Do
Notes...this mellow neo-soul song utilizes the track from ATCQ's classic Bonita Applebum. Speaking of that song, I once knew someone who had the lyrics a little wrong to Bonita Applebum. Happens to all of us, so I corrected her...but what's funny is she tried to insist that her mistaken lyrics were still correct "sometimes" saying "yeah but sometimes in the song don't they say "Bonita ack-a-boom" um..um..um..too funny!

Jilly from Philly rocks Seattle!
The DJ who was spinning sounds in between Raheem Devaughn's opening act and Jill's performance was definitely from the east coast and had to be about 40 years old...
I say that because the music was bangin! and obviously because I remembered every cut he played from my days of hangin' out at Zanzibar (Newark, NJ), Cheetah Club (Paterson, NJ) and Club 88 (East Orange, NJ). And some of the stuff he played was older than that...some late 70's "disco" cuts! I was lovin' it...and most of the crowd had no idea what he was playin! I had to contain myself to resist grabbing my wife to start dancing in the aisle!

I love Pandora Radio!
If you've you're not familiar with Pandora Radio on the internet you are missing out on one of the 'net's best values. Their music is set up in "radio stations" that you create with a few mouse clicks based on your musical preferences. It builds the "station" around the artists or genres you select based on the Music Genome Project. And you can access your Pandora profile and stations from any PC, plus you can play it through Sonos! What's Sonos? see you next blog for that one!
right now I'm at work grooving to Amel Larrieux's Infinite Possibilities...so smooth.

a place to keep my thoughts on music
I was looking for a peace of paper to write down the name of an artist that I liked on Pandora internet radio and just thought to myself maybe I should keep the names on a spreadsheet or Word doc. And then I remembered that my wife Alonda blogs just about every thought that enters her mind (LOL) and figured that's it! I'll blog about it! Thus this blog was born.
